Full disclosure: for the first 20 of my 27+ years with the City of Chicago, I worked under, and received guidance from, Tom Kaeser. Tom is not only intelligent, but has a great sense of humor, and he will call BS when necessary. Now fully retired, he has opined that the Ashland Avenue Bus Rapid Transit project is ill-conceived, and will probably not work as stated by the Emanuel Administration and their allies in this undertaking. The Chicago Sun-Times outlines his objections here, and when Tom Kaeser takes you to task, trust me, he has his ducks, and information, all lined up.
It will be interesting to see if anyone heeds his warnings. To not do so would be very foolish.
