I had this dream a while back. For some reason, we had enough money available to own a one-bedroom condo in Chicago, on the Nort’ Side, as well as the dome out in Stephenson County. We also had a personal artificial wormhole, built into a shallow cabinet, the business portion being a doorway-sized opening filled with a stack of pale blue crystalline tiles, flanked on either side with smaller white screens that functioned as handprint scanners. I was demonstrating it for a guest, and once the portal established itself, we walked from the condo into the dome, as I explained that it wasn’t the great invention he thought it was. I could only have one pair of portals open at one time, and they had to be the same size, and I didn’t have a whole lot of the tiles to build them.
And before I could show him the test models in my workshop, I woke up.
My reach exceeds my grasp, and this idea is a lot less troublesome than charging a 2-plate capacitor with the energy of an exploding star, which is supposed to be a theoretical way to do it.
