Well, here we are, hunkered down in Chicago. We went grocery shopping yesterday, and I observed that many of the employees at the Jewel/Osco we frequent were quite fed up with the situation. I recommended voting Democratic in November. The juxtaposition of sale tags (buy 2, get a third free) and signs asking customers to limit purchases of some other items (eggs, milk, TP) to one per customer was interesting. There was still stock on the shelves in the latter case, and empty spaces in the former. We are spending our time watching YouTube videos, and doing some small number of chores. We are not going out to the farm this weekend and next to comply with Gov. Pritzker’s edict.
